|b This research introduces a new linguistic term to modern critical thought, which is linguistic selection. This term refers to a new applied linguistic approach towards discourse analysis that could benefit from the pragmatic, semiotic, and stylistic approaches towards discourse. This paves the way to interpreting the spread of some of idiomatic structures and analyzing them in creative discourse. Each cultural pattern develops its own model of oral and written structures, as the process of converting a series of cultural facts into linguistic texts in a given discourse is a procedure taken by linguistic selection in which the poet tries to reproduce culture through these idiomatic structures in an epistemological domain that could be described as linguistic selection. This linguistic selection is a lingual oratorical practice that seeks to select linguistic structures acknowledged by poets. In its applied part, the research studies and analyzes some linguistic structures in ancient Arabic poetry in the light of the cognitive orientations of the concept of linguistic selection. The research answers questions that reveal the significance of this approach: -Why do certain structures appear in the poetic discourse of an era and disappear in another? -What are the criteria of linguistic selection? Are these criteria subject to cultural or oratorical requirements? -Why are structures such as ‘kifa nabky - khalelaya oudja - amin omi awfa’ considered some of the most popular structures in ancient poetry? And why did they disappear in the Abbasid era while other alternative structures came into being?

|a تهدف الدراسة إلى تأويل خطاب المديح في ضوء المعرفة التي توفرها سيميائيات الخطاب، وإثنوغرافيا التواصل – التي تنطلق من اعتبار اللغة ظاهرة ثقافية تؤدي مجموعة من الوظائف – وذلك عبر إثارة عدد من الإشكاليات حول الذات، والواقع، والمرجع في الخطاب الشعري؛ وذلك بفسح المجال أمام دراسة فعل التلفظ والعمليات التلفظية، وهو مايعرف بسيميائيات التلفظ في الخطاب؛ أي إعطاء فعل التلفظ والعملية التلفظية مكاناً في الخطاب المدروس، وهي عملية تفترض وجود متكلم ومستمع يهدف الأول التأثير في الثاني، هذا من ناحية، ومن ناحية ثانية، يكون الطرف الثاني علي وعي بملفوظات الطرف الأول، ويؤولها في سياقها الصحيح؛ الأمر الذي يجعل الدلالة الحقيقية للعلامة في الخطاب قابلة للفهم، وتحصين دلالتها من سوء الفهم. وهو ما ينزل هذا الخطاب منزلته المتميزة من التواصل. ويسعي البحث إلى الإجابة عن التساؤلات التالية: -كيف يمكننا فهم طبيعة النقلة الإبستمولوجية داخل الخطاب من الوعي الفردي إلى الوجود الجمعي من خلال دراسة الملفوظ؟ -كيف يمكننا فهم طبيعة الحوار بين الثقافة والخطاب الإبداعي؟ -كيف يمكننا فهم الفعل الثقافي كسيموزيس يتحرك دلاليا داخل الخطاب؟
