المستخلص: يهدف البحث إلى التعرف على واقع المكتبة المركزية العامة في تكريت اتبع منهج (دراسة حالة) في البحث وجمعت البيانات من خلال المقابلة والملاحظة ونموذجين لاستبانة تم اختيار عينة عشوائية منهم بلغ عددها (٥٠) مستفيدا وتم تحليل إجابات العينات وقد استخدمت النسب المؤوية في التحليلات الإحصائية، وتضمنت لاستبانه العديد من الأسئلة التي من خلالها تم التعرف على واقع المكتبة ألعامه قيد الدراسة وقد جاءا لبحث بنتائج عديدة أهمها ضعف التخصيص المالي المرصود إلى المكتبة مما يؤثر سلبا على حجم ونوع الخدمات التي تقدمها، وقله الموظفين ذوي الاختصاص في علم المعلومات والمكتبات، وقد اقترحت الدراسة أن تكون هناك ميزانية خاصة للمكتبة وتكون سنوية ليتسنى لها القيام بمهامها على أكمل وجه

Tikrit The research aims to identify the reality of the Central public Library in the follow the approach case study) in research and collected data through interview and observation and two models of the questionnaire was distributed to a sample of society under the first model to the staff of the library and the second of the beneficiaries were drawing were analyzed answers the (50) selected random sample of them numbered questionnaire included sample has been used percentages in the statistical analyzes the many questions which have been identified on the of the public library under study The results of the study was the most important of many the weakness of financial allocation earmarked for the library which negatively affects the size and type of services they provide and the lack of staff with competence in information science and libraries the study suggested that there be a special budget for the library and is an annual to enable them to carry out its duties to the fullest
