هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على الإمام الحسين "رضى الله عنه" في تراث السيد هبة الدين الحسينى الشهرستانى "دراسة في الرؤى ومنهج الكتابة التاريخية". واشتملت الدراسة على مقدمة، عدة مباحث، وخاتمة. أشار المبحث الأول إلى: السيد هبة الدين الحسيني الشهرستانى (1301هـ/1884م- 1386/1967م) "روافد بنائه الفكرى ومواقفه السياسية". واستعرض المبحث الثانى: مؤلفاته في تاريخ الإمام الحسيني المنهج التاريخى وأسلوب الكتابة، وتضمن عدة نقاط ونذكر منها: كتابة (نهضة الحسين)، قراءة في منهج الكتاب واسلوبه، كتاب باب القراديس أو مشهد الرأس الشريف، كلماته في الاحتفالات العاشورائية، كلمة الافتتاح في الحفلة الرابعة لذكرى عاشوراء، كلمة الافتتاح في الحفلة الخامسة لسنة 1364هـ/1944م. وألقت الدراسة الضوء على المقالات وهي على الترتيب؛ المقال الأول: المثل الأعلى "الحسين بن على"، والمقال الثانى "ذكرى الحسين "عظة وذكرى". وختاما أكدت نتائج الدراسة على أن الرعاية الأسرية والبيئة العلمية وما تمتع به السيد هبة الدين من نبوغ ووعى مبكر في بلورة شخصيته الفذة، كما مارس السيد هبة الدين نشاطا سياسيا وتربويا وفكريا منذ مطلع شبابه وحتى السنوات الأخيرة من حياته، فضلا عن أنه سعى إلى كسر طوق الجمود الدينى والفكر التقليدي ونزع الى حد الأخذ بالتجديد والتحديث. كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018
