هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى التعرف على بعض المتغيرات المعاصرة والأدوار التي ينبغي أن تلعبها جامعات الصعيد في مجال خدمة المجتمع في ضوء هذه المتغيرات، والكشف عن واقع الدور الذي تؤديه بعض جامعات الصعيد في مجال خدمة المجتمع في ضوء بعض المتغيرات المعاصرة، والوقوف على المعوقات التي تحد من أداء هذا الدور على الوجه الأكمل، ووضع تصور مقترح لتفعيل وظيفة خدمة المجتمع بجامعات الصعيد، ولتحقيق ذلك مرت الدراسة بمجموعة من الإجراءات تمثلت في تأصيلا نظريا يشمل ما يلي: الإطار العام للدراسة. الجامعات وخدمة المجتمع المفهوم والفلسفة والأهداف. نماذج لدور بعض الجامعات العالمية في خدمة المجتمع. جامعات الصعيد ما بين خدمة المجتمع والمتغيرات المعاصرة. وتلا ذلك إعداد الدراسة الميدانية حيث تم إعداد أداة متمثلة في استبانة تهدف إلي الكشف عن مدي إسهام بعض جامعات الصعيد في خدمة المجتمع في ضوء بعض المتغيرات المعاصرة، وطبقت على عينة من أعضاء هيئة التدريس ومعاونيهم بجامعات الصعيد (بني سويف وأسيوط وسوهاج وجنوب الوادي) قوامها (400) عضواً. واستخدمت في ذلك المنهج الوصفي من خلال جمع الدراسات ذات الصلة بموضوع الدراسية وتحليلها والإفادة منها، واستخدام التحليل الإحصائي في الدراسة الميدانية؛ الذي يسهم في التعرف على واقع دور بعض جامعات الصعيد في خدمة المجتمع في ضوء بعض المتغيرات المعاصرة والمعوقات التي تحد من أداء هذا الدور على الوجه الأكمل. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدن من النتائج من أهمها أن هناك بعض مظاهر القصور في الأدوار التي يمكن أن تلعبها جامعات الصعيد لخدمة المجتمع ويتضح هذا القصور في دور الجامعة في تدعيم الدور التنموي للمرأة الصعيدية أكثر من غيره من الأدوار، وأن جامعات الصعيد تبذل جهودا لتنمية الوعي السياسي والمسئولية الاجتماعية لدي أفراد المجتمع الصعيدي، ومواجهة مشكلات الزيادة السكانية والهجرة والبطالة والأمية والمشكلات البيئية وظاهرة الأخذ بالثأر ولكن بدرجة متوسطة، كما تقوم جامعات الصعيد بأدوار مناسبة لخدمة قطاع الزراعة والإنتاج الحيواني، ونشر الوعي الصحي والارتقاء بالمستوي الصحي، وخدمة قطاع. التعليم وتحقيق الجودة في مدارس المجتمع الصعيدي، ومن أهم معوقات تفعيل دور جامعات الصعيد نقص الاعتمادات المالية التي تخصصها جامعات الصعيد لخدمة المجتمع، وضعف تمويل البحوث المجتمعية سواء من الجهات الرسمية أو الجهات الإنتاجية. وبناء على ذلك قدمت الدراسة تصورا مقترحا يمكن من خلاله تفعيل دور بعض جامعات الصعيد في خدمة المجتمع في ضوء بعض المتغيرات المعاصرة.
The present study aimed to identify some of the contemporary variables and roles that should be played by Upper Egypt universities in the field of community service in light of these variables, in addition to revealing the reality of the role played by some universities in Upper Egypt in the field of community service in light of some contemporary variables and the identification of obstacles hindering the performance of this role to the fullest. It also identifies the development of a proposed vision to activate the function of community service in the universities of Upper Egypt. To achieve this, the study passed a set of procedures represented in the theoretical perspective which includes the following: The general framework of the study, Universities and community service; concept, philosophy and objectives. There are examples of the role of some international universities in the service of society. Universities of Upper Egypt are between the service of society and contemporary variables. This was followed by the preparation of the field study, where a tool was prepared in the form of a questionnaire aimed at revealing the extent to which some universities in Upper Egypt contributed to the service of the community in light of some contemporary variables. It was applied to a sample of faculty members and their assistants in Upper Egypt Universities, Beni Suef, Assiut, Sohag and South Valley (400 members). The descriptive approach was used to collect, analyze and benefit from studies related to the subject, and I used statistical analysis in the field study which contributes to the recognition of the fact of the role of some universities in Upper Egypt in the service of society in light of some contemporary variables and the constraints that limit the performance of this role to the fullest. The study concluded a number of results, the most important of which is that there are some shortcomings in the roles that can be played by universities in Upper Egypt to serve the community. This is evident in the shortage of the role of the university in supporting the developmental role of women in upper Egypt more than other roles. Upper Egypt Universities are making efforts to develop political awareness and social responsibility among the members of Upper Egypt society, and to confront the problems of population increase, migration, unemployment, illiteracy, environmental problems and the phenomenon of avenging, but to a moderate degree. Upper Egypt universities also play suitable roles for serving the sector of agriculture and animal production, Health awareness and raising its level, and serving education sector and the achievement of quality in the schools of Upper Egypt society. One of the most important obstacles to activate the role of universities in Upper Egypt is the lack of funds allocated by the universities of Upper Egypt to serve the community, and weak funding of community research, both from official or productive entities. Therefore, the study presented a suggested scenario through which the role of some universities in Upper Egypt is activated to serve society, in light of some contemporary variables.This abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
