يعتبر الدين من المفاهيم الأساسية في فكر مالك بن نبي، ومن الأدوات التحليلية التي تميز منظوره الحضاري، ووظفها في دراسة ظاهرة الحضارة في قيامها وسقوطها، وقد أطلق عليه اسم (الفكرة الدينية). والفكرة الدينية في نظره، هي الفكرة المركبة، التي تعمل على التفاعل بين العناصر الأولية للحضارة. ولتناول دور الدين في بناء الحضارة عند بني نبي فإن هذه الورقة البحثية تتناول، مفهومه للحضارة، ثم مفهومه للدين، ثم رؤيته للدور الذي يقوم به الدين في البناء الحضاري، وذلك للوصول إلى تحديد مفهوم الفكرة الدينية التي تحدث عنها ابن نبي وأعطاها دورًا مهمًا في بناء الحضارة. وقد توصلت الورقة البحثية إلى أن ابن نبي يستعمل مفهوم الدين باعتباره سنة كونية وتاريخية وقانوناً يحكم الفكر، تلك السنة التي فطر الله عليها الإنسان، وأن الدين هو المركب الحقيقي للقيم الحضارية من خلال توفير الوسط الذي يتشكل فيه أنا الفرد والمجموع، ومن خلال تدخل الدين في تنظيم فكر الإنسان وتوجيه طاقاته إلى غايات ما وراء أرضية (أخروية)، بتجسيد العلاقة الروحية بين الله والإنسان في صورة علاقة اجتماعية، وكذلك من خلال توفير القانون الأخلاقي الذي يمنح قيمة لما يقوم به الإنسان وما يحياه
Religion is one of the basic concepts in Malik Bennabi’s thought, and analytical tools that characterize his civilizational perspective. He applied it in the study of civilization in its rise and fall course. He called it (the religious idea), which is – in his point of view- the catalyzer that provide the atmosphere for the interaction between the primary elements of civilization. To discuss the role of religion in civilization building according to Bennabi, this paper addresses; his concepts of civilization and religion, then his view of the role played by religion in civilization building, so as to define the concept of the religious idea which Bennabi developed and gave it an important role in civilization building. The research paper found that Bennabi conceptualized religion as a cosmic and historical pattern and law that governs thought. Moreover, it is fitrah (Innate nature) that Allah has created people upon it. In addition, religion alone is the catalyst of the civilizational values by providing the atmosphere in which the individual and community ego, and by its intervention in the organization of human thought and directing its energies to purposes beyond the daily life (hereafter) through realization of the spiritual relationship between Allah and human being in the social relationship forms, as well as through the provision of the moral law, which gives value to what a person does and lives
