|a تهدف هذه الدراسة للتعرض إلى مسألة التنظير في علوم الإعلام والاتصال عند الغرب والعرب ومدى توافق نظريات الاتصال المعاصرة وفروضها مع سياقات المجتمعات العربية، حيث نجد أن جل الدراسات في علوم الإعلام والاتصال قد بدأت في أمريكا انطلاقا من بحوث امبريقية تشكلت في بيئة غريبة تختلف سياقاتها عن سياق المجتمعات العربية، وبعد تجسد مظاهر الإعلام الجديد الذي أتاحته تكنولوجيات المعلومات والاتصال الحديثة تعقدت الدراسات أكثر في هذا الميدان فسرعة وتيرة تطور تكنولوجيات الاتصال لم تسمح للبحث العلمي ببلورة ما يلزم من جهاز مفاهيمي وتنظيري ومنهجي لدراسة هذه الظواهر الجديدة، إذ ظهرت الحاجة إلى إعادة النظر في بعض الفروض التي تقوم عليها النظريات الاتصالية بعدما تغيرت خارطة الاتصال والإعلام معا.

|f This study aims to address the issue of theorizing within the sciences of media and communications amongst the West and the Arabs, and the extent of the conformity of the contemporary theories of communication and their hypotheses, with the contexts of the Arab societies. That is as we find that most of the studies within the sciences of media and communication began in America, originating from experimental or empirical studies which were formed in a western environment, the contexts of which differ from the context of the Arab societies. After the embodiment of the manifestations of the new media which arose due to modern technology, information and communications, the studies became more complicated within the field. The rapid pace of development of communications technologies did not permit scientific research to crystallize what was necessary in terms of the conceptual, theoretical and methodological apparatus in order to study these new phenomena. That is because the need to review some of the hypotheses which the communications theories were based upon arose after the communications and media map changed together.This abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
