كانت القراءة- وما تزال- أساس العلم والحضارة، فلا عجب أن كانت أول آية من القرآن (اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ) فالقراءة بوابة التعلم في كل الميادين، وتعلمها ليس ذاتها فحسب، ولكن لغيرها أيضا من صنوف المعرفة وأطفالنا هم هبة الله وزينة الحياة الدنيا يولدون كصفحة بيضاء وعلى الآباء والمربين مسئولية ملء هذه الصفحة بالقيم والأفكار والعلوم التي تؤهلهم ليكونوا شبابا ذوي إنتاجية فعالة في المجتمع وسببا من أسباب رقية وتقدمه. وحب القراءة وتنمية حبها لديهم مطلبا تربويا وثقافيا نظرا لما يتسم به عالم اليوم من انفجار معرفي سريع ومتغير، كما يمكن القراءة أن تساعد الطفل في عملية النمو من جميع جوانبه وخاصة النمو الاجتماعي والعاطفي والإدراكي والجسمي. ومن خلال هذه الورقة سوف نحاول البحث عن الأساليب التربوية الحديثة خاصة الأسرية التي تنمي عادة القراءة لدى الطفل، أو بالأحرى كيف نجعل الطفل محبا للقراءة. من خلال تحديد دقيق لماهية القراءة بمفهومها العام ومراحلها التربوية أو فن القراءة، ومدى أهميتها للأطفال وأهمية اختيار الكتاب المناسب مع الوقت المناسب والمكان الفيزيقي المناسب أيضا. مع البحث في أساليب ترغيب القراءة للطفل. دون أن ننسي عوائق القراءة أو أسباب نفور الأطفال من القراءة.
Reading was and still represents the basis of knowledge and civilization and so there was no wonder that the first of the Qur’an to be revealed was “Read in the name of your Lord who created” (Translated meaning). That is because reading is the gateway of learning in all domains or fields and learning to read is not for its own sake alone but rather for other than it in terms of categories of knowledge. Our children are a gift from Allah and the adornment of the life of this world. They are born as blank pages and it is then the duty of the parents and those who have responsibility over their upbringing, to fill these pages with values, thoughts and areas of knowledge which make them qualified to become young men and women who are productive and effective in the society and a cause from among the causes of its elevation and progress. Love of reading and developing its love among children is an educational and cultural upbringing requirement, in light of what characterizes the world today in terms of a rapid and changing knowledge or information explosion. Reading can also assist the child in respect to the growing and development process from all of its aspects and particularly social, emotional, cognitive and physical development. In this paper, we will attempt to examine the model educational upbringing styles and particularly those related to the family which normally develop the reading of the child or rather to examine the issue of how we can make our children love reading. That will be undertaken through a precise determination of the true reality of reading, according to its general understanding and its educational stages or the art of reading, the extent of its importance to children and the importance of choosing the suitable book, at the right time and the appropriate physical place. That is alongside the examination of the styles of encouraging or enticing the child to read without us forgetting the barriers associated to reading or the reasons for the children’s aversion to reading.This abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
