| 520 | |b This paper investigates the valuation approaches of Internet companies. These are the discounted cash flow approach, the relative or multiple valuation approach, and the real option approach. The question addressed in this paper concerns the practical applicability of these approaches in valuing Internet companies. By comparing the three valuation approaches, the usefulness for the valuation of Internet companies is being assessed. It become appears that no one single technique is comprehensive and perfect, there is therefore need for better valuation approach that may complement the existing valuation methods and overcome some of their shortcomings. The paper proposed such a framework that integrates DCF and ROV using simulation which we claim its better estimate the value of these companies by accounting for their uncertainty and growth opportunities characteristics. The authors’ main argument is that a combination of simulation, Real option valuation and DCF techniques may be more appropriate to seize the value of Internet companies | ||
