|b For thousands of years philosophers have had their own ideas on education and the role that it can play in the human development but during the second half of the twentieth century the interest among economists has increased in the development of a theory human capital which would complement the theory of physical capital, and enable the theory of capital as a whole to make more satisfactory contribution to our understanding of such questions as the nature and process of economic growth, this trend has compelled us to recognize the economic aspects of education, which contribute to the formation of human capital. As this study observed, that there has been an increasing attention given to education by social scientists during the 2nd half of the twentieth century due to its role in promoting economic growth. This paper will analyze the economic value of education from theoretical part of view. As it is important, to provide a historical analysis of philosophical thoughts on education, which will be essential for further studies.
