|b The study of the future of the political settlement in the region is a complicated and manifold process, comprising political, economic and social aspects. The parties are also various, combining Israeli, Arab and international attitudes. However, the current research will be limited to the Israeli stand on political settlement. It focuses on the inputs of the process from the Israeli point of view by means of looking into the variables and repercussions of the internal environment on the current political settlement. The track is seen as a product of the movement of the balance of power between the parties concerned, taking the form of special accords. It is found that Israel is carrying on with its policy of hampering the peace process. This is only a type of management - rather than resolution - of the conflict, setting the holding talks as a goal in itself with no potential of reaching political solutions in the region. At the same time, it would continue to impose its agenda on the Arabs as well as create new realities on the ground. It would make use of the Palestinians’ concern in their divisions and the Arab countries’ involvement in their own affairs after the Arab Spring, restricting their support to the Palestinian demands for liberation and self-determination. It would also bolster its internal power, especially in the military field to prove its theory of national security by means of power and confrontation with the international pressures. As it proceeds to pass its plans in the region based on military power, the Hebrew State has become more conscious of its limited power. In the various battles with Hezbollah and Islamist resistant groups in Gaza, it could not make tangible achievements. Therefore, it should look for new methods to penetrate the antagonist Arab attitudes and translate the military achievements into political shifts.
