|b This paper reviews some general manifestations of Eid al- Adha in the African society. A review of some habits associated with Eid al-Adha in Africa reveals that this ritual contributed significantly to the development of many cultural terms in African communities. One example is the local names of Eid al-Adha which demonstrate its cultural implications on the society. Another example is the personal names of individuals, as Africans name their newborns "Eid" if they are born during this feast. Also, Eid al-Adha is a direct cause of developing many customs and traditions of receiving the holiday, and the popular arts that originated from or evolved around the Rite of Sacrifice, such as songs, poems, stories, dances, and social rituals.
