يهدف هذا البحث إلى التعريف بدور وأهمية حاضنات الأعمال كأداة محتملة لإنعاش وتنمية الاقتصاد المحلي من خلال تشجيع الشباب وخريجي الجامعات المبادر على إنشاء شركات صغيرة. ويوضح البحث المفاهيم المتعلقة بآلية عمل الحاضنات والخدمات الإدارية والفنية المقدمة للمنتسبين، بدءا من الفكرة الإبداعية وحتى تحويلها إلى شركة صغيرة وتخريجها إلى السوق المحلي. ويتناول البحث تجربة بعض الحاضنات الفلسطينة وبيان مدى مساهمتها في رعاية الأفكار الريادية والمبدعين من الشباب وخلق فرص عمل جديدة للشباب من خريجي الجامعات والكليات التطبيقية. وقد اعتمد البحث في منهجيته على أسلوب البحث المكتبي، الاستبانة ودراسة الحالة لأربعة حاضنات أعمال وتكنولوجيا معلومات في فلسطين. وقام الباحث بتسليط الضوء على التحديات والمعوقات التي تواجهها حاضنات الأعمال في فلسطين، وخلص أن أهمها يتعلق بخطة الاستدامة والمحافظة استمرار توفر التمويل اللازم لأنشطة الاحتضان بالإضافة إلى نقص التوعية بين جيل الشباب في دور الحاضنات وأهمية إنشاء الأعمال الحرة.
This paper mainly aims at promotion and raise awareness of the idea, importance and role of business incubators as a potential tool for economic development. Business incubator can encourage and support entrepreneurs and fresh graduates to start up their own business using incubator facilities. The paper presents the concept behind incubation process and the technical and administrative services provided to tenants from the idea to exit phase at which a new firm can leave the incubator and work independently at local market. The experience of Palestinian business incubators has been illustrated including their contribution to promote and develop new startups and job creation for young people and fresh graduates. The research methodologies utilized in this research study are desk-research, questionnaire, and case study of four local business incubators. The paper concludes that the most important challenges of business incubators in Palestine are achievement of the sustainability and self- financing plan, in addition to the weak awareness of incubator's role and importance among Palestinian youth.
