المستخلص: هدفت هذه الدراسة لتوضيح المفهوم الشامل للرزق وبيان الأسباب المؤدية إلى سعته، وتتمثل مشكلة الدراسة في قصر مفهوم الرزق في المال والمأكول والمشروب فقط، بينما هذا جزء منه لا كل، كما استخدم الباحث المنهج الاستقرائي التحليلي متتبعاً الآيات والأحاديث المتعلقة بالدراسة وتحليلها، ومن ثم الوصول إلى أهم النتائج والتوصيات.

The chief aim of this paper is to explore the issue of livelihood and subsistence in a conceptual basis; this to be done by explaining the reasons behind increasing and boosting its capacity. The study's problem hinges in the misunderstanding of subsistence as only restricted to earning money, getting a drink and obtaining a bread, whereas these three types of subsistence represents only part of the whole. The researcher adopted deductive-analytic approach through analyzing a corpus of Quranic verses and dacred Hadith texts pertinent to the issue under investigation. The study yielded some finding, the most important of these are; subsistence as a concept is not confined to exhaust a bundle of types; money here is just a part of it. At last but not least the study presented several recommendations.
