This research attempts to cast light on the common characteristics in the burial customs of the Meroitic and post Meroitic communities. It turns to point to cultural connection in the area of lower Nubia. The results of the study does not show discontinuity or cultural manifestation in the burial customs and funerary practices between Meroitic and post Meroitic periods. The few differences observed can be attributed to political, economic factors, multiple centers of power, the decay of local and international trade and the economic deterioration that affect the state, which has a negative impact on the potentials of the kings to build their tombs and allegiance to their religious deities.
