|b This study tries to investigate the dimensions of street-girls’ problems and to suggest practical solutions thereof. After citing the bibliographical information on street-girls in Khartoum State, it proceeds to describe how such girls spend their everyday lives, gives the main causes for their vagrancy, points out the educational, hygienic and security problems they face and finally suggests practical solutions to their problems. For the study, analytical and survey methods were adopted. Namely, 1. Data about street-girls, from different previous studies, was viewed and used. 2.A survey among 24 street-girls was conducted, to find out what forced them to leave their homes, how they led their daily-lives and what sort of vagrancy lives they had, etc. The most important results can be summarized as follows: 1.Street-girls’ families and tribes are generally permissive in letting their children lead premature working-lives. They themselves have already suffered from many natural and human-made problems. 2.The main causes for leading a vagrancy life are economical, social and cultural in general. 3.Street-girls are generally active all the day’s night. They spend all daylong sleeping under the supervision of a stronger street-boy, who plays the role of a boy-friend. 4.They face many educational, hygienic and security problems. Certain Suggestions for the solution of the street-girls’ problem were made in the paper.
