This study investigates the processes of lexical coinage and derivation in both Arabic and Hausa Languages. The researcher has toured seven processes of lexical coinage and derivation, including derivation, compounding, clipping, functional shift and borrowing, in addition to repetition. This study also presents a number of important observations in lexical and semantic coinage, taking into account the expressive value of the sound. The study has also tackles all these points based on descriptive and comparative methods in determining the course of each language in terms of the contrastive comparison. The study concluded with the results, that there is a big similarity between Arabic and Hausa in most of the of above morpho-sematic processes. The study recommends bearing in mind that further investigation of such studies, development of Arabic Language is very slow compared to other languages such as Hausa.
