Resources for this research “The actions of the Messenger of Allah "peace and blessings be upon him" and their impact on legal rulings” include Islamic legal theory, jurisprudence, tafsir [exegesis] and hadith among others. The research consists of an introduction, two chapters and a conclusion. The introduction: It includes the definition of both tassarruf [conduct] and Sunnah and the relationship between them. The first chapter: It includes a classification of the Prophet’s actions. The chapter comprises six topics: 1- The position of the Salaf [predecessors] toward the Prophet’s actions. 2- The position of the scholars who came after the Salaf toward the Prophet’s actions. 3- Examining the positions of scholars on the classification of the Prophet’s actions. 4- Elucidating the position of those against classifying the Prophet’s actions. 5- Important criteria for classifying the Prophet’s actions. 6- The benefit of classifying the Prophet’s actions. The second chapter: The impact of the Prophet’s actions on legal rulings with respect to the following: 1- As a Messenger. 2- As a mufti. 3- As a judge. 4- As a ruler. 5- As a human. 6- With respect to experience. 7- As an advisor and guide. 8- With respect to those actions that pertain only to him. The conclusion: It comprises the most significant results reached. |
