يهدف هذا البحث إلى محاولة التعرف على حاجة الإنسانية لأمن الإسلام؛ من خلال معرفة مكانة وأهمية الأمن في الإسلام، وكذلك موقف الإسلام من الإرهاب، والتعرف على العوامل التي يتحقق من خلالها الأمن الذي قرره الإسلام، وأيضاً بيان أثر تطبيق الشريعة الإسلامية في حفظ الأمن والسلام. \\ وقد استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي في وصف وبيان مفهوم الأمن وأهميته، وتوضيح دور التربية الإسلامية في تعزيز الأمن، واستخدم كذلك المنهج الاستنباطي في استخراج ما تضمنته بعض الآيات والأحاديث ذات الصلة بالأمن. \\ وقد خلص البحث إلى أن الإسلام حفظ للناس أمنهم من خلال حفظه للضروريات الخمس، وحرم كل ما يثير الفتن والقلاقل وسفك الدماء، وأن الأمن الحقيقي لا يمكن أن يتوفر إلا في ظل العقيدة الإسلامية الصحيحة، وتبين أن الأمن في الإسلام لا يختص بالمسلمين دون غيرهم، بل يشمل أمن المسلمين وغير المسلمين، واتضح أن إقامة الحدود والعقوبات الشرعية هي أضمن الوسائل وأكثرها فعالية في حفظ الأمن للأفراد والجماعات.
This research is an attempt aimed to investigate humanity’s need for peace as espoused by Islam, through an understanding of the high esteem and importance that Islam accords to the imperatives of universal peace and security. The research also clarifies the position of Islam on the issue of terrorism, and highlights the factors through which peace can be achieved as proclaimed by Islam. It also gives an appraisal of the positive outcomes for enforcing Islamic Shariaa on the preservation of peace and security. The researcher has adopted the descriptive approach both to describe and explain the concept of security and its importance in Islam. It is also to emphasize the role of Islamic education to re-enforce security. The researcher also uses the deductive approach to deduce the meanings implied in some of the Quranic verses and Hadith that are related to the concept of peace and security. The research has concluded that Islam nas indeed preserved peace and security for communities by way of maintaining the basic five necessities, and by prohibiting all that is bound to stir trouble, conflicts and bloodshed. That true peace can only be achieved under true Islamic faith. It is evident that peace \\ and security in Islam is not a prerogative of Muslims alone, but includes Muslims and non-Muslims alike. It is also clear that upholding and enforcing Shariaa laws and penalties is the surest and most effective methods to maintain peace and security between individuals and among communities.
