شهد الفساد الاقتصادي في السنوات الأخيرة انتشاراً كبيراً داخل أغلب المؤسسات الاقتصادية في العديد من البلدان العربية, حيث تفشت جرائمه وزادت معدلاته, وهذا يعود إلى قصور التدابير التقليدية لعلاج مشكلة الفساد الاقتصادي من ضعف وعجز وانعدام الثقة في التشريعات والقوانين الجنائية العربية والإسلامية, وضعف آليات المساءلة والشفافية. وهذا ما أدى إلى انتشار الفساد في الدوائر الحكومية وقطاع الأعمال العام والقطاع الخاص, وتحول إلى سلوك متعارف عليه, وهذا هو الخطر الأعظم للفساد. وتعد الجزائر من بين الدول التي انتشر بها الفساد الاقتصادي بحجم كبير في السنوات الأخيرة, والذي من مظاهره الرشوة, واستغلال النفوذ لأغراض شخصية, وانتشار الاقتصاد الموازي, تبييض الأموال, والتهريب والغش الضريبي... الخ. ورغم الإجراءات الإدارية والحكومية الصارمة لمكافحة الفساد التي تبنتها الجزائر للحد منها, إلا أنه في اعتقادنا لا تكفي هذه الإجراءات ما لم تكن هناك نية واضحة من أجل استئصال الفساد من جذوره. فالفساد يعيق التنمية الاقتصادية في مختلف مجالات الحياة, كما أنه يعرقل عمليات التوزيع العادل للدخول بين المواطنين, فتزداد مشكلة البطالة والتهميش, وتتدهور الأخلاق والقيم النبيلة ويعجز المجتمع عن الوصول لحالة التشغيل الكامل والأمثل. والملاحظة في الواقع الجزائري المعيش أن وسائل الاتصال والإعلام لها درواً كبيراً في الكشف عن أكبر قضايا الفساد المؤسساتي في الجزائر, من خلال قيامها بدور الرقابة على هذه المؤسسات, ورغم المضايقات الكثيرة التي تتعرض لها الصحافة في الجزائر عند تناولها لمثل هذه الموضوعات, إلا أنها استطاعت أن تكون المنبر الوحيد الذي يستطيع من خلاله الرأي العام الجزائري معرفة ماذا يحدث داخل المؤسسات الاقتصادية الجزائرية من فساد بمختلف أنواعه وأشكاله. فالمعالجة الإعلامية لقضايا الفساد الاقتصادي في المجتمع الجزائري أصبح لها دوراً كبيراً في تنوير الرأي العام الجزائري بأن هناك جهات عديدة تقف في وجه التنمية في البلاد وتحاول عرقلة مسار البناء وتحقيق الاستقرار لمختلف فئات الشعب الجزائري.

Corruption hinders economic development in different areas of life, it also hampers the equitable distribution operations to enter between citizens, becoming more and more a problem of unemployment and marginalization, and deteriorating morality and noble values and society are unable to reach the state of full operation and optimized. It is noticeable, in fact Algerian Living that means of communication and the media have a major role in the detection of the largest institutional corruption cases in Algeria, through its role of oversight of these institutions, and despite the many harassment of the press in Algeria when dealing with such issues, but they were able to which can only forum through which the Algerian public opinion be to know what is happening inside the Algerian economic institutions of corruption of various kinds and forms. Media coverage to the issues of economic corruption in Algerian society now has a major role in informing the Algerian public opinion that there are many parties stand in the face of development in the country and trying to block the path of construction and stabilization of the various categories of the Algerian people.
