|d Cette étude tentera de révéler des renseignements extrêmement précis ayant trait à l’histoire sociale de la ville de Thibilis et ce à travers une série de documents que sont les textes épigraphiques.\nL’épigraphie de Thibilis est dominée à hauteur de 96% par des inscriptions funéraires, dont de nombreux textes ont été mutilés et souvent réduit à de petits fragments.\nNous mettrons la lumière sur l’importance de Thibilis et son rôle en tant que foyer de romanisation, ainsi que sur sa contribution à l’émergence de la confédération cirtéenne. \nSon épigraphie atteste que la cité a donné une élite et une bourgeoisie locale qui a joué un rôle primordial et confirmé dans la vie de la cité et de la confédération cirtéenne dont elle dépendait. Certaines personnalités ont été même appelées à de hautes fonctions à Rome et dans l’Empire romain. \nLe matériel épigraphique nous permet de dresser une liste des personnalités les plus influentes de Thibilis et la place privilégiée quelle a occupé dans la vie politique et sociale de la confédération cirtéenne.\n

|f This study will attempt to reveal extremely precise information related to the social history of the city of Thibilis through a series of documents that are epigraphic texts.\n96% of epigraphy of Thibilis is dominated by funerary inscriptions, many of which have been mutilated and often reduced to small fragments.\nWe will highlight the importance of Thibilis and its role as a focus of Romanization, as well as its contribution to the emergence of the Cirtan Confederation.\nIts epigraphy testifies that the city gave an elite and a local bourgeoisie which played a main and confirmed role in the life of the city and the cirtean confederation on which it depended. Some personalities were even called to a high position in Rome and in the Roman Empire.\nThe epigraphic material allows us to draw up a list of the most influential personalities of Thibilis and the privileged place which it occupied in the political and social life of the Cirtan confederation.\nThis abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
