|a يبدو اليوم أنّنا في أشد الحاجة إلى مثقف عربي يتحلى بقدر كبير من الوعي ، مثقف قادر على استيعاب معطيات العصر، والتفاعل مع ما يدور حوله من أحداث وصراعات واتجاهات ، والتعبير عنها بأمانة ومسؤولية ، ويتأتى هذا الأمر من خلال الإبداع في مختلف المجالات ، ويشترط أيضا أن يمتلك المثقف العربي تلك الثقافة الموسوعية على نحو ما كان عليه سابقوه من المثقفين فمنذ ثورات ما يسمّى بالربيع العربي، والمثقف العربي يتلقى نقدا لاذعا ؛لأنّه على رأي البعض لم يواصل القيام بدوره على أكمل وجه، بل ذهب بعضهم إلى القول: أن دور المثقف العربي اليوم بدأ يتلاشى تدريجيا، ولكى يعود إلى سابق عهده وجب عليه أن يدرك أهمية أن يكون له صوتا نابعاُ من نفسه ووازعه،وواقعه وقضاياه التّي يتبناها ، وأن لا يكون تابعاُ للسلطة أوأي جهة كانت ، كما عليه أن لا يستقل فكريا، لأن الاستقلالية تنتج نوعاُ من السلبية التّي تقضي بالتالي على أهم مقومات الثقافة والأبداع

|f Today we seem to be in dire need of a highly educated Arab intellectual who is able to absorb the data of the age, and interact with the events, conflicts and trends, and express it honestly and responsibly. This comes through creativity in various fields, it is also stipulated that the Arab intellectual should have the same encyclopedic culture as his predecessors had. Since the revolutions of the so-called Arab Spring, the Arab intellectual receives harsh criticism because according to some opinion, he did not continue to play his role to the fullest, even some of them started to say that the role of the Arab intellectual today is gradually diminishing. In order to return to his previous position, he must realize the importance of having a voice emanating from himself, his position, his reality and the issues he adopts. He shouldn’t be subordinated to the authority or any party, nor should be intellectually independent, because independence produces a kind of negativity, which in turn eradicate the most important elements of culture and creativity.\nThis abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
