المستخلص: أصبحت مواقع الشبكات الاجتماعية مثل "الفايسبوك" و"التويتر" و"التيوتيوب" ظاهرة عالمية واسعة الانتشار، ساهمت في دفع العلاقات الاجتماعية من الواقع الفعلي إلى العالم الافتراضي، من خلال تسهيل عملية التواصل للمستخدمين مع بعضهم البعض لطرح وتبادل الأفكار والآراء والملفات المرئية والسمعية وبناء العلاقات الاجتماعية والمهنية، إلا أن الاستخدام المتزايد لمواقع الشبكات الاجتماعية قد يؤدي إلى نوع من العزلة الاجتماعية عن الآخرين الواقعيين في حياتهم، والذي يقود إلى تأثيرات سلبية في منظومة العلاقات الاجتماعية (الأسرة، جماعات الأصدقاء، علاقات الدراسة، علاقات الجيرة والقرابة).

Social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube have become a widespread global phenomenon that has contributed to pushing social relations from the real reality to the virtual world. That is by facilitating the process of users communicating with each other to share ideas, opinions, video and audio files and to build social and professional relationships. However, the increased use of social networking sites can lead to some kind of social isolation from others who are real in their lives. This leads to negative effects on the system of social relations consisting of family, groups of friends, study relationships, neighbors and relatives.

Les réseaux sociaux tel que: Face book, My space et Twitter sont des applications liées à la deuxième génération du web «web.2».
Ces réseaux ont participé à la création d’un environnement d’échange social parfait entre les usagers, en fondant des relations sociales dans un contexte virtuel qui dépasse les limites spatio-temporelles.
Néanmoins, l’usage excessif de ces réseaux menace le système des relations sociales en isolant l’usager de son environnement social.
