|a يتناول هذا البحث على نحو موجز أبرز الاتهامات التي وجهت لصلاح الدين من جانب المؤرخين المعاصرين أو المحدثين عرباً أو غربيين، ويحاول قدر المستطاع الرد عليها من خلال منطق التاريخ دون افتعال أو تعمد الدفاع دون حجج منطقية مقنعة وليس الهدف من هذا البحث تنزيه ذلك السلطان من كل نقص، إذ أن ذلك يتنافى مع طبيعة حركة التاريخ ذاتها، فالبشر عموماً يصيبون ويخطئون خاصة قادتهم، لكن علينا أن نذكر الإيجابيات عندما تحدث، ولا نترصد السلبيات إشباعا لرغبات أبعد ما تكون عن الروح العلمية الموضوعية الواجبة والملزمة.

|f This paper briefly deals with the most prominent accusations levelled against Salahuddin by contemporary historians or modern Arab or Western historians. It tries, as much as possible, to respond to them through the logic of history without fabricating or deliberately defending and without convincing logical arguments. The objective of this research is not to present that Sultan as clean from all shortcomings, as this is contrary to the very nature of the movement of history. Human beings especially their leaders generally make mistakes. However, we have to mention the positives when they happen. We should not look at the negatives to satisfy desires that are far from the objective and binding scientific spirit.\nThis abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
