المستخلص: The "third" Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip lasted for 51 days between July 7 and August 26, 2014. The volume of destruction was many times as that caused by the wars in 2008 and 2012. Thus, immediately after the aggression, a lot was said about efforts for the reconstruction of Gaza. There was an inclusive deal stating a long-term truce, rebuilding what had been destroyed, in return for carrying on with a quiet on the Palestinian-Israeli border. However, it seems that the track was not paved due a number of reasons: 1. Palestinian internal political complications 2. security escalation with Israel 3. required improved relations with the region and international community. However, the slow reconstruction will not necessarily result in the outbreak of a new wave of confrontation between Hamas and Israel as a means of pressure on the relevant parties to speed the process. The results of any near future battle after the end of the war may not be affordable by the besieged Gaza Strip.
