|b This Study aims at investigating the degree of effectiveness of Jordan University's Internal Auditing Unit, from the perspective of the employees at the Unit itself, and from the perspective of the administrative leaders at the University, as well. Study population consisted of 270 subjects, among whom a valid and reliable questionnaire was distributed. Study results revealed that the degree of effectiveness of the University's Internal Auditing Unit from the perspective of the workers at the unit itself was not very high. There were no statistically significant differences in the perceived effectiveness between the employee’s perception at the Unit and the managerial leader’s perception. The Study recommended intensifying field inspection at the Unit and making the unit autonomous, rather than being controlled by the University's administration. The study, also, suggested backing the unit with a well-qualified personnel.

|a استهدفت هذه الدراسة تعرف درجة فاعلية وحدة الرقابة والتدقيق الداخلي في الجامعة الأردنية من وجهة نظر العاملين في الوحدة، والقادة الاداريين في الجامعة وتألف مجتمع الدراسة من (270) فرداً، وزعت عليهم استبانة جرى التأكد من صدقها وثباتها، وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن درجة فاعلية وحدة الرقابة والتدقيق الداخلي من وجهة نظر أفراد العينة كانت متوسطة، وأنه لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين القادة الإداريين في الجامعة والعاملين في الوحدة في تقدير فاعلية الوحدة، وأوصت الدراسة في ضوء النتائج التي توصلت إليها تكثيف العمل الرقابي الميداني وجعل الوحدة مستقلة عن رئاسة الجامعة، ورفدها بالكفاءات المدربة.
