استهدف البحث تقديم دراسة بلاغية تحليلية عن تشبيهات على بن جبلة الملقب بالعكوك. واستخدم البحث المنهج التحليلي الاستنباطي لتحليل الصورة التشبيهية في شعر العكوك تحليلا بلاغيا يكشف عن سماتها ويستنبط أهم خصائصها وميزاتها. وتناول البحث ثمان مباحث. تشبيهات الكرم في المبحث الأول. والمبحث الثاني تشبيهات الخمر. والمبحث الثالث ناقش تشبيهات الشيب. والمبحث الرابع تشبيهات المعركة. كما جاء المبحث الخامس بتشبيهات الفرس. والمبحث السادس تناول تشبيهات الناقة. والمبحث السابع تشبيهات الطلل. أما المبحث الثامن والأخير حمل تشبيهات أخرى. واختتم البحث بعدة نتائج منها. أشار أن (الكاف) أكثر أدوات التشبيه حضورا في شعر علي بن جبلة ويليها (كأن) وندر حضور الأدوات الأخرى إلا من (مثل) في بعض المواضع. كما تنوعت جهات التركيز في شعر علي بن جبلة. واتجهت في أحيان كثيرة إلى التركيز على نواحي نفسية ومعنوية، فإنها اتجهت في أحيان أخرى إلى التركيز على عناصر أخرى حسية كالشكل واللون والحركة والصوت، وإن لم تخل هذه العناصر الحسية من ارتباطها بما تكشف عنه من معان نفسية. كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018
The aim of the research was to present a rhetorical analysis of the simile of Ali Ibn Jabalah, nicknamed "Al-Akawak". The research used the deductive analytical method to analyze rhetorically the metaphorical expression in the poetry of Al-Akawak that reveals its characteristics and derives its features. The research dealt with eight topics. The first topic tackled the similes of generosity. The second topic handled wine similes. The third topic discussed gray hairs similes. The fourth topic illustrated battle similes. The fifth topic turned to the similes of horses. The sixth topic dealt with the camel's similes. The seventh topic talked about the similes of debris. The eighth and last topic explained other similes. The research concluded with several results. For example, it pointed out that Al-Kaf (ك) is the most particle of simile used in Ali Bin Jabalah's poetry, followed by Ka'an (كأنّ), then the presence of other particles was rare except for methl (مثل) in some positions. The points of focus were also in the poetry of Ali Bin Jabalah, and have often tended to focus on psychological and moral aspects. They have also tended at other times to focus on other sensory elements such as shape, color, motion and sound.
