المستخلص: استهدف البحث التعرف على أخبار البحرين في المصادر الروسية حتى العام 1914 م: دراسة تاريخية توثيقية توضح أهمية البحرين بالنسبة للمصالح الروسية وحتى العام 1914م. جاء البحث في تمهيد تاريخي وعدة نقاط. أما التمهيد فأشار إلى أن البحرين شكلت عبر تاريخها الطويل نقطة جذب للعديد من القوى الأجنبية التي سعت إلى مد سيطرتها ونفوذها في منطقة الخليج العربي، فسعى البحث إلى الكشف عن جوانب الاهتمام الروسي في البحرين في تلك الفترة. وأما النقاط فتناولت. طبيعة التغلغل الروسي في البحرين. وأخبار البحرين في المصادر الروسية حتى عام 1914 م. توصل البحث إلى مجموعة من الحقائق التاريخية منها. أن المعلومات التي تضمنتها المصادر الروسية شكلت على أنواعها رافدا تاريخيا جديدا سلط الضوء على جوانب متعددة من جغرافية البحرين ووصف معالم عمرانها وطبيعة سكانها. وأن التطورات التي لمسها الوافدين الروس إلى البحرين جعلتهم يعملون جاهدين على محاولة إتباع جميع الوسائل الممكنة لتوثيق صلاتهم معها، ومن ثم راحوا يصفون لنا ما وجدوه في أثناء زيارتهم وعبر مشاهداتهم مما حفلت به البحرين من أحداث مختلفة والتي أخذت حيزا كبيرا من الاهتمام الروسي، حيث قاموا بتدوين وتوثيق جميع ما لاحظوه من ظواهر متنوعة سياسية واقتصادية واجتماعية تناولت سكان البحرين ووظائفهم وأعمالهم فضلا عن توثيقهم لأدق التفاصيل عن حجم التجارة بين البحرين والشعوب والبلدان الاخرى وذلك عزز وجود رغبة مشتركة ومتبادلة بين الجانبين لتعزيز تلك العلاقات والعمل على تطويرها.

The research aimed to identify the news of Bahrain in the Russian sources until the year of 1914: a historical documented study illustrating the importance of Bahrain for the Russian interests until the year of 1914. The research came in a historical preface and several points. The preface pointed out that Bahrain has long been a magnet for many foreign powers that sought to extend their control and influence in the Gulf region. The research sought to reveal the Russian interests in Bahrain during that period. The points were dealt with the nature of the Russian penetration in Bahrain and the news of Bahrain in the Russian sources until the year of 1914. The research finds a collection of the historical facts including that the information which were contained in the Russian sources formed a kind of new historical extension that highlighted the various aspects of the geography of Bahrain and the description of the parameters of its ages and the nature of its population and that the developments which were experienced by the Russian expatriates to Bahrain made them work hard to try to follow all possible means to strengthen their links with them, and then they describe what they found during their visit and through their observations of the various events that took place in Bahrain which took a lot of the Russian interest. They documented and wrote all the various political, economic, and social phenomena that dealt with the people of Bahrain, their jobs and their work, as well as documenting the details of the volume of trade between Bahrain and the other countries and peoples. This has reinforced the common desire of the two sides to strengthen and develop these relations and work to develop them.
