المستخلص: The question raised by this article is associated with the position of lexicon and lexicography at the moment, especially after the invasion of the information and the means of modern technology in general. We will not discuss the new format of dictionaries and methods and techniques of producing them, as these things are necessary, and adopting them are the requirements of modernism and participating in the building of new society. But in addition to that, we will discuss the levels of processing linguistic material inside the lexicon in all its forms – paper or electronic. So what is the way of reconciling between two types in the way that would serve our dictionary, and benefit our generations, hence giving the Arabic language its rightful place in the era of globalization? That’s what this article is trying to answer.
