|b This study aims to investigate the executive functions of the brain among university students and its relation to sex. The sample consisted of 183 university students (98 male, 85 female). The Behavioral Rating Inventory of Executive Function was used. The results showed that the university students have a high score in executive functions of the brain, and also showed no significant differences between the two sexes in executive function as measured by the used instrument. The results were discussed according to the previous studies, the development of the executive functions and the interaction between sex and age and the development of executive functions.

|a تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تقصي الوظائف التنفيذية للدماغ عند عينة من طلبة الجامعة وعلاقتها بالجنس. وقد تكونت عينة الدراسة من 183 طالبا من طلبة البكالوريوس (98 طالبا و 85 طالبة). وقد اسُتخدمت قائمة التقدير السلوكي للوظائف التنفيذية. وأشارت النتائج إلى وجود درجة مرتفعة من الوظائف التنفيذية عند طلبة الجامعة، وأنه لا توجد فروق بين الجنسين في الوظائف التنفيذية التي قيست بأداة الدراسة. وقد نوقشت النتائج في ضوء ما توفر من دراسات سابقة، ونمو الوظائف التنفيذية والتفاعل بين العمر والجنس فيما يتعلق بالفروق بين الجنسين في الوظائف التنفيذية.
