|a لقد اختلفت وسائل القياس والاختبار الموضوعة لتحديد أو توصيف فعالية أو مهارة رياضية معينة للوقوف من خلالها على أهم الجوانب ذات التأثير والعلاقة في ترجمة المستوى الحقيقي الذي يتميز به كل رياضي ،ومن أهم الوسائل المستخدمة في القياس هو علم البايوميكانيك الذي من خلاله يمكن الوقوف على أهم المؤشرات ذات العلاقة بتغير القوانين الرياضية وإضفاء بعض الصعوبات التي تميز الأداء الرياضي اليوم وخاصة لعبة كرة السلة. \ إن اختلاف مسافات التهديف بكرة السلة لابد وان يوثر في بعض المتغيرات الميكانيكية للاعب والكرة في أثناء الأداء على ما تحدثه المسافة من فروق في هذه المتغيرات تجعلنا نقف على المتغيرات التي نركز عليها في التدريب وصولا إلى دقة إصابة السلة
