|a إن هدف هذه الدراسة هو تشجيع أساتذة اللغة الإنجليزية ليصبحوا أساتذة مفكرين بالبحث فيما يقومون به في القسم لتحسين أدائهم؛. بهذه الطريقة بإمكانهم المساهمة بنتائج أبحاث أصلية تكون أكثر تلاؤما مع السياق الذي يدرسون فيه بدلا من أن يكونوا مجرد مستهلكين لنتائج أبحاث غيرهم التي لا تتوافق مع طريقتهم في التدريس واحتياجات طلبتهم وبهدف إبراز أهمية التفكير في عملية التعليم والتعلم القائم على هذا البحث، قمنا بدراسة عينة صغيرة من تلاميذ المستوى المتوسط وقد أوضحت نتائج الدراسة أن البيانات/المعطيات المحصل عليها من الاستمارات المملؤة من طرف التلاميذ وأساتذتهم تختلف من جوانب متعددة ومن ثم تستحق الاهتمام.
|b The purpose of the present paper is to explore how English language teachers can become "reflective teachers" by investigating what they do in the classroom and improve their teaching accordingly. In this way, they are able to produce first hand research findings which are more related to the context in which they teach instead of being consumers of others’ research findings which do not suit their method of teaching and their students’ needs. In order to show the significance of reflecting on the process of teaching and learning, the author of the paper also conducted a study using a small sample of college students. The results of the study showed that the data obtained from the questionnaires completed by students and their teachers are in some aspects different and they are worthy of attention.
