إن الأداء الرياضي المتفوق يتحقق عادة على يد رياضيين يمتازون بشخصية قيادية متميزة من اجل الوصول إلى الانجازات الرياضية ، وان الشخصية القيادية من أهم مواضيع علم النفس الرياضي من الواجب توفرها لدى الرياضيين الذين تناط بهم مهام قيادية في الفرق التي يمثلونها وكرة القدم واحدة من الفعاليات التي تنفرد بطابع تنافسي متميز ومن خلال ملاحظة الباحث للاعبي أندية الدرجة الممتازة في إقليم كردستان العراق لاحظ إن هناك قلة الدراية والفهم إلى أهمية الشخصية القيادية للاعب قد يرجع إلى عدم اهتمام المدربين بهذا الجانب النفسي الهام والفعال في تكوين شخصية اللاعب ومدى تأثيرها على أداء اللاعب أثناء المباراة , لذلك ارتئ الباحث مقارنة بين مراكز لاعبي كرة القدم لأندية الممتازة في إقليم كردستان العراق للموسم الكروي (2014-2013), والتعرف على الفروق بين مراكز لاعبي كرة القدم لأندية الممتازة في إقليم كردستان العراق وقد استنتج الباحث ما يلي :- 1- عدم وجود فروق معنوية لشخصية القيادية بين مراكز لاعبي كرة القدم لأندية الممتازة في إقليم كردستان العراق للموسم الكروي (2014-2013) . 2- إن الشخصية القيادية لدى عينة البحث تبلغ فوق المتوسط.
