هدفت هذه الورقة إلى إلقاء الضوء على أهمية استخدام الوسائط المتعددة في التدريس الجامعي باعتبارها من المستحدثات التقنية الحديثة في التعليم حتى نحقق الإبداع في التدريس. تطرقت الورقة إلى أساليب التدريس الجامعي وماهية الوسائط المتعددة والوسائط الفائقة، وماهية الإبداع وما المقصود بالإبداع في التدريس وكيف يتم تحقيقه باستخدام الوسائط المتعددة، إضافة إلى معرفة المهارات التي يجب توفرها في التدريس الفعال وحاجات الطلاب التي يجب مراعاتها عند استخدام الوسائط المتعددة، وأخيرًا تطرقت الورقة إلى المعوقات التي تعترض استخدام الوسائط المتعددة وتعوق الإبداع في التدريس. اتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي وتوصلت الدراسة إلى نتائج أهمها: لا توجد فروق في استخدام أعضاء هيئة التدريس بجامعة البحر الأحمر للوسائط المتعددة تعزى لمتغير الجنس (ذكر – أنثى)، المؤهل العلمي، التخصص، الخبرة. وعند استخدام الوسائط المتعددة يتم التحول من التعليم المتمركز حول المنهج والمعلم إلى التعليم المتمركز حول الطالب. كذلك عند استخدام الوسائط المتعددة تتغير أساليب التدريس ولن يكون التدريس تلك العملية التقليدية التي يجب على المعلم إتباع خطوات محددة فيها. أوصت الدراسة باستخدام الوسائط المتعددة في التدريس الجامعي حتى نحقق الإبداع في التدريس.
This paper aimed at shedding some light on the importance of using multimedia, as an innovative technology, in university education in order to facilitate creative teaching. The paper describes university teaching methods and defines the multimedia and what is meant by creativity and creative teaching and how is it to be achieved via multimedia. In addition the paper outlines the skills that should characterize effective teaching and student’s needs that need to be observed while using multimedia. The paper also addresses the obstacles that stand in the way of using multimedia and hinder creative teaching. The study followed a descriptive methodology and reached important results, the most important of which are: there are no differences in the use of multimedia among the Red Sea University teaching staff, especially with respect to sex, (male - female), the academic qualifications, specialization, and experience. However, whenever multimedia is in use, the focus of the teaching process centers around “the student “ rather than the “teacher curriculum”. Furthermore, when multimedia is used the teaching methods also change, and teaching is no longer the traditional process that entails steps the teacher should follow suit. Finally, the study recommends the use of multimedia in university teaching in order to introduce and maintain creativity in teaching.
