البحث يتناول أحد الشخصيات في تاريخ الفلسفة الإسلامية، وهو أبو الحسن محمد بن يوسف العامري النيسابوري توفي (٣٨١ ه) له عدة مؤلفات في الفلسفة الإسلامية وعلم الكلام، من أبرزها: السعادة والإسعاد، الفصول في المعالم الإلهية، الإرشاد لتصحيح الاعتقاد. ومن حيث موضوع الإلهيات، فالله عند العامري يعتبر غاية الفيلسوف، ومعرفته سبب حصول السعادة، أي سعادة الإنسان بعد معرفة الله والاتصال به. وهذا البحث يقسم الى عدة محاور هي، صفات الله، الله توحيده ووجوده، صلة الله بالوجود، الله مصدر السعادة. صفات الله، العامري يعتبر الله، الموجود الحقيقي، وكل شيء في الوجود سواه وجود ناقص غير حقيقي، والله هو محدث الأشياء وواهب الصور، هذه الآراء مستمدة من البيئة الإسلامية سواء الفلسفية أم الدينية مع شيء من التوفيق بين الفلسفة اليونانية والعقيدة الدينية، ويوجد أثر واضح من فلسفة الكندي والفارابي على فلسفة العامري.
