The aim of thesis which consists of a general introduction and two chapters is to study some problems on waves propagation in cylindrical borehole with micropolar fluid under certain boundary conditions. Chapter I: This chapter contains some of the fundamental equations to the issue of micropolar fluid in addition to some basic concepts and definitions. Chapter II: In this chapter, we investigated the propagation of surface waves in rotating cylindrical borehole filled with a micropolar viscous fluid and hosted in an infinite micropolar elastic solid medium. The dispersion equation for the propagation of surface wave has been obtained. Comparisons are made in the absence of rotation. Chapter III: In this chapter, we studied the propagation of axial symmetric cylindrical surface waves through rotating cylindrical bore in a micpropolar porous medium of infinite extent possessing cubic symmetry. The frequency equations connecting the phase velocity with wave number, radius of bore and other material parameters, for empty and liquid filled bore are derived. Comparisons are made in the absence of rotation.
