المستخلص: The project lays emphasis on the comparison of Joomla and Drupal Content Management Systems (CMS) in terms of performance and security. The two CMS are identified as the most popular open source CMS available amongst the several lots of other CMS. Two key considerations to determine when selecting the type of CMS to use for a project is security and performance. The two factors if not handled properly can create a bottleneck. A performance analysis test carried out on four different blogs which were developed with Joomla and Drupal. The test was done using a free online testing tool load impact which is available on http://loadimpact.com/. The testing tool simulates a number of fifty users access a website concurrently to determine how the website responds to load levels. The result from the test was interpreted and analysed accordingly. The analysis made highlighted the load level effect and suggestions were made on how to make improvement on the performance of a website.
