The role of media sources like newspapers, televisions, radio, and so on is apt in the proper presentation of any issue. The presentation of the issue by the newspaper depends heavily upon different factors and media theories. In context to this, the research work will be aimed at revealing the differences of coverage strategies undertaken by two prominent newspapers, namely The Arab News and The Independent. The paper is aimed to indemnify some crucial differences in the coverage of the Egyptian revolution between 25th January and 12th February of 2011 by Arab News and the Independent. The research work will analyze the different types of news related with the revolution published in both the newspapers. On the basis of the analysis of news published in both the papers, an intensive comparison between the strategies and approaches undertaken by both newspapers regarding the causes and impact of this revolution will be analyzed in a most effective manner. Consequently, the research sets out to find various factors that can be held responsible for the apparent differences that are clearly seen in the way two newspapers have covered and reported the event of Egyptian Revolution . In order to conduct the research work effectively, library research method will be undertaken in the paper, which will analyze the research topic under the light of different media theories and concepts. In addition to this, descriptive data analysis method will be considered in the research work for the purpose of answering the research question. The final section of the research work will be the conclusion section, which is designed for the purpose of accomplishing the research objectives in the most effective manner. Moreover, some crucial recommendations will also be made to the newspaper on the basis of the overall findings of the research work . |
