أصبح للجامعات اليوم دورا محوريا في التنمية بكافة أشكالها؛ وبذا صارت المسئول الأول عن تقدم المجتمع وازدهاره، والذى يقاس بمقدار ما تمتلكه من معرفة وقدرتها على إنتاجها وتوظيفها التوظيف الأمثل لخدمة قضايا التنمية المجتمعية، وذلك من خلال نشاطها البحثي. ولذلك اتجهت الأنظار إلى الاهتمام بالبحث العلمي، حيث يعتبر من الوظائف المحورية التي تتعهد بها الجامعات ومراكز البحوث في مختلف المجتمعات، وبقدر ما تبذل الأمم في سبيل البحث العلمي من جهود وأموال بقدر ما تتمكن من معطياته وتطبيقاته، وبقدر ما يكون مستوى نقدمها وقوتها. واتجهت الجامعات في الدول المتقدمة إلى إنشاء مراكز بحثية متخصصة ذات أهداف محددة وفقأ لتوجهاتها واهتماماتها، هذه المراكز تعتبر بيوت خبرة يستمد منها صانعي القرار معلوماتهم لحل الكثير من المشكلات. وعلى غرار ذلك تزايد الاهتمام في الوطن العربي بإنشاء مراكز بحثية ارتبطت بجهات ووزارات مختلفة ومنها الجامعات في كافة التخصصات العلمية والإنسانية بهدف خدمة المجتمع. وبالتالي هدف البحث إلى: تشخيص واقع المراكز البحثية التابعة لجامعة بنها، ورصد أهم المعوقات التي تواجه المراكز البحثية التابعة لجامعة بنها. وقد توصل البحث إلى وضع مجموعة من المقترحات لتطوير المراكز البحثية التابعة لجامعة بنها.
The universities today play a pivotal role in the development of all forms; thus become primarily responsible for the progress and prosperity of society, which is measured by what possesses the knowledge and ability to produce and employ optimum service issues, community development, and through the activity of the research. Therefore eyes turned to pay attention to scientific research, which is one of the jobs pivotal undertaken by universities and research centers in various communities, and as far as doing Nations for the sake of scientific research efforts and money as much as you can from the givens and applications, and to the extent that the level of progress and strength. And headed universities in developed countries to establish specialized research centers with specific objectives, according to the directions and concerns, these centers are considered houses of experience from which to derive their information decision-makers to solve a lot of problems. Similarly, the growing interest in the Arab world to establish research centers associated with third-party and the various ministries, including the universities in all scientific disciplines in order to serve humanity and society. And thus the goal of the research: the diagnosis and the reality of research centers at the University of Banha, and monitor the most important obstacles facing research centers affiliated to the University of Banha. The research has come to develop a set of proposals for the development of research centers at the University of Banha.
