The identified schemes should play a significant part in optimising the potential of employees in an organisation. Indeed, it is the ever increasing demand for better service delivery that has pushed many organisations to provide reward schemes for employees. Given the very complex nature of feedback systems, it is crucial to determine whether such schemes have a significant impact; that is, significant impact on improving employees’ performance and the overall competitive platform of the organisation. Objectives The main objective of the dissertation was to explore and evaluate the importance of reward management in the satisfaction of employees. Specifically, the study explored the relationship between management reward and employee satisfaction. In so doing, the study aimed to determine a correlation between various organisational processes, procedures, and other undertakings that would contribute greatly to increased job satisfaction. Methods The methodology involved the use of a combination of both primary and secondary data sources. The case study technique was used. The main tool used for primary sources was an online survey questionnaire which was administered to a sample of 50 respondents from Tesco Plc. The secondary data was obtained from Tesco case studies, books, articles and scholarly journals dealing with job satisfaction and management reward. Results The study results showed that reward management positively influenced job satisfaction among employees. This implies that the management of rewards, both material and non-material, such as promotions and recognition, play a significant role in enhancing the efficiency of workers’ performance. Conclusion This study concludes that implementing an employee reward system has a considerable positive impact on the realisation of job satisfaction and overall performance. Recommendation For future research, it is suggested a cross-sectional panel study involving more than one company should be carried out, as this is likely to increase precision. According to the action-oriented platform feedback for this study, it is recommended that Tesco Corporation revise its reward management strategy by incorporating diverse specific individual motivators so that greater efficiency is achieved.
