Today’s changing business environment is putting pressure on organisations to ensure successful project delivery in order to reach the organisations’ strategic goals. Outputs need to be measured and improved and the best practices need to be spread within organisations in order to remain competitive. Benchmarking models support the standardisation of working patterns within the whole organisation and encourage regular updates and adaptations. In order to enable the continuous improvement, methods for maintenance and spreading of knowledge and experiences need to be established. The research in this thesis is aims to identify the variables that affect TQM at the Saudi BinLadin Group and how they can benchmark quality in their organizational project management. The research was conducted using a questionnaire survey. The quantitative results were analyzed and evaluated. The findings based on qualitative responses were confirmed through quantitative data analysis. The findings from the empirical analysis stress the value of having an organization wide TQM organizational project management model with known practices and how to perform necessary processes for the planning, execution and delivery of each project. The organization can gain great advantages in increasing its project management through TQM and benchmarking. The advantages may be represented in the form of increased profitability, enhanced monitoring of project’s progress and less dependence older time consuming methods.
