The current study came within the context of the studies concerned with the deeper psychological understanding of the relationship between road accidents and some variables in the Saudi community. The researcher examined the relationship between these accidents and the personality traits « risk seeking, impulsiveness, inactivity, aggression and responsibility «, the nervous system patterns, life pressures along with the variables of age, income and socioeconomic position. The total study sample encompassed 231 Saudis, with the age range 18 -55, from different occupations and educational backgrounds, with the average age 28.87 and standard deviation7.03. At least 179 of them had road accidents, while 52 did not. The study tools were represented in a road accident questionnaire, personality traits battery « risk seeking, impulsiveness, inactivity, aggression and responsibility «, the nervous system patterns scale, life pressures questionnaire and socioeconomic position indicator. The tools were examined in many ways as to whether they were applicable to the Saudi community and whether or not their psychometric efficiency worked. Findings have shown that there have been positive significant correlations between the total grade of road accidents and risk seeking, impulsiveness, aggression and life pressures. There has been a negative significant correlation between the total grade of road accidents and responsibility. However, there hasn>t been a significant correlation between the total grade of road accidents and both inactivity and nervous system patterns. ANOVA, moreover, has revealed that there have been statistically significant differences in road accidents between the two study groups: « under the age of 25 « and «over 35 « respectively in favor of the first group. This proves that younger people are more liable to road accidents than older ones. On the other hand, there haven't been any statistically significant differences between road accidents attributed to income or socioeconomic position. Findings of Stepwise Regression Analysis have disclosed that the three independent variables « risk seeking, impulsiveness and inactivity « can predict road accidents for the total study sample. These variables constituted 19.8% in the variation of the road accident variable.
