المستخلص: Gaddafi's regime fell and a transitional system was established and adopted an interim constitution along with a roadmap for democratic transition. In the past two years, Libya has been facing many challenges related to the history of different economic and social components, and as a result the legacy of Gaddafi and the revolution against him, the resulting polarization, the clear social crack, in addition to the consequences of dictatorship, revolution, violence and foreign intervention. After it succeeded in overthrowing the tyrannical regime, Libya is stuck in a dark tunnel of political conflicts. It is now in a vicious circle of poor performance as well as an obvious absence of the authority from the state in light of the proliferation of heavy weapons and militias. It is necessary to overcome this tunnel by means of national consensus. Tribalism and regionalism, even sometimes contradictory, are strongly present to make the process of getting rid of weapons and insurgents and their integration within civil, military or security state institutions a very difficult one. That would hinder the building of such institutions and the success of democratic transition
