المستخلص: تتميز منطقة جازان بالجزء الجنوبي الغربي من المملكة العربية السعودية بإمكانات جغرافية طبيعية وبشرية تجعلها وجهة سياحية متميزة، ومن خلال تفعيل دورها السياحي. فهي تمتلك المناطق الجبلية والسهول. حيث سلسلة جبال السروات، وسهول تهامة، والسهل الساحلي للبحر الأحمر في غربها. وبالإضافة إلى إمكانياتها التاريخية والحضارية، وتراثها الثقافي. ولقد جاء تقييم نشاطها السياحي في مشروع استراتيجية المملكة العربية السعودية لتنمية السياحة الوطنية. وللفترة من عام 1422- 1441هـ ضمن المناطق الناشئة والجديدة. وهو الأمر الذي يتطلب رصد مواردها السياحية. وبهدف تنفيذ عملية التخطيط السياحي. ولذلك كان هدف هذه الدراسة إبراز ورصد الموارد السياحة للمنطقة، وفقاً للتسلسل الذي جاء في مخطط عملية التخطيط السياحي. وكما تمكنت الدراسة من خلال النظريات والنماذج السياحية تحديد أنماط وأنواع السياحة في المنطقة، وبعد التعرف على إمكاناتها الجغرافية للتنمية السياحية، وبإتباع المناهج الوصفية والعلمية. وقد أوصت الدراسة بأهمية تحليل ملائمة المنتج السياحي للسوق لتحديد نقاط القوة والضعف والمخاطر وفرص الاستثمار السياحي.

Jazan region, in the southwestern part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is distinguished by the natural and human geographical potential that makes it a distinguished tourist destination, and by activating its tourism role. It has mountain areas and plains. It has the Sarawat mountain range, the Tihama plains, and the coastal plain of the Red Sea in its west, in addition to its historical and civilizational capabilities, and its cultural heritage. The evaluation of its tourism activity has been included in the project of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's strategy for the development of national tourism. And for the period from 1441 to 1422 AH within the new and emerging regions, which requires the monitoring of its tourism resources. In order to implement the tourism planning process. In order to implement the tourism planning process. Therefore, the aim of this study was to highlight and monitor the tourism resources of the region, according to the sequence mentioned in the scheme of the tourism planning process. Through theories and models of tourism, the study also managed to identify the patterns and types of tourism in the region, after identifying its geographical potential for tourism development, and by following descriptive and scientific approaches. The study recommended the importance of analyzing the suitability of the tourism product for the market to identify strengths, weaknesses, risks, and opportunities for tourism investment.
