|b This paper investigates Egyptian Moroccan escalation and its implications on the Arab region, after the understanding and coordination between the two countries on international and regional issues, particularly the Arab-Israeli conflict, and supporting Arab solidarity in recent years. The researcher also highlights some crises in the mutual relations history, including those caused by President Gamal Abdel Nasser, who was seeking to spread Arab nationalism ideology in the Arab world, supporting republics rather than monarchies, and who clashed with the Kingdom of Morocco under the leadership of King Hassan II in the early sixties of the last century, when he supported Algeria –by providing air support- against Morocco in the sand war that broke out between the two countries. the Egyptian-Moroccan relations was improved during the era of Sadat who could turn this page, that was hostile to the Kingdom of Morocco. New good Egyptian-Moroccan relations started and reached a higher level in the era of President Hosni Mubarak, after the death of King Hassan II in 1999. However these relations were troubled again in late 2014, and the rooted historic gains were about be ravaged. In the context of the dimensions of the Egyptian Moroccan escalation impact on the region, the researcher highlights Ankara tending towards Maghreb capitals to establish partnership relations with these countries and the relation between this and the regional competition. The researcher considers that the Egyptian Moroccan escalation could essentially reflect negatively on both sides, particularly that the Turkish role in the region (Middle East and North Africa) is significant, however this role may shrink with the increase of potential players who may have an influence in the region, mainly, Morocco that deepened relations with Egypt after the recent escalation, and with the revival of diplomatic relations with Iran after a more than ten years break, as well as the strengthening of relations with the Gulf countries, after the Gulf Cooperation Council has embraced Morocco, and finally with retrieving normal Moroccan-French relations.
