استهدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن تطبيقات تكنولوجيا التعريف بترددات الراديو RFID في المكتبات. وتناولت الدراسة ماهية تكنولوجيا التعريف بترددات الراديو. وتكنولوجيا التعريف بترددات الراديو في مجال المكتبات. كما أشارت الدراسة إلى تطبيقات واستخدامات تكنولوجيا التعريف بترددات الراديو في مجال المكتبات ومنها خدمة الاستعارة الذاتية. وإجراءات الجرد وحماية المجموعات. وكذلك الاعتماد على الإحصائيات والتقارير وإحصائيات بمعدلات الاطلاع اليومي للصحف. كما تناولت تكنولوجيا التعريف بترددات الراديو في المكتبات المصرية. والمكتبات التي تعتمد على تكنولوجيا RFID/RF في مصر. ومراحل تطبيق تكنولوجيا التعريف بترددات الراديو بمكتبة القاهرة الكبرى. بالإضافة إلى تكنولوجيا التعريف بترددات الراديو في مكتبات الوطن العربي. والمكتبات السعودية الأكثر تطبيقا لتكنولوجيا التعريف بترددات الراديو على مستوي الوطن العربي. وخلصت الدراسة إلى أن تكنولوجيا التعريف بترددات الراديو هي أحدث أنظمة إدارة وحماية المقتنيات في المكتبات في الوقت الحالي. وتعتبر نتاج للتطور التكنولوجي في أنظمة التعريف الأوتوماتيكية كالباركود وأنظمة الحماية باستخدام الأشرطة الممغنطة هناك حوالي 8% من المكتبات تعتمد على تكنولوجيا التعريف بترددات الراديو على مستوي العالم وعلى الرغم من أهمية هذه التكنولوجيا في المكتبات إلا أن هناك تباطؤ ملحوظ في تطبيقها في المكتبات المصرية حيث توجد 8 مكتبات فقط في مصر تعتمد على هذه التكنولوجيا وف المقابل هناك حوالي 196 مكتبة في الوطن العربي تعتمد على هذه التكنولوجيا في مقدمتها المكتبات في المملكة العربية السعودية التي بلغ عددها 64 مكتبة. ويعتبر ارتفاع تكلفة تطبيق هذه التكنولوجيا أمام ضعف ميزانيات المكتبات من أهم المشكلات التي تواجه المكتبات لاستخدام هذه التكنولوجيا وعلى الرغم من ذلك فيتوقع الخبراء زيادة في انتشارها في المستقبل في مجال المكتبات نظرا لاستمرار انخفاض أسعارها خصوصا عند النظر في المزايا التي تقدمها المكتبات مقارنة بأنظمة الباركود والأشرطة المغنطة. وكذلك تعتبر المشروعات التعاونية التي تهدف إلى تطبيق هذه التكنولوجيا من أبرز الحلول التي تتجه إليها المكتبات حالياً.كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018

The study aimed at detecting the applications of RFID technology in the libraries. The study dealt with the definition of radio frequency identification technology, and the radio frequency identification technology in the libraries. The study also referred to the applications and the uses of the radio frequency identification technology in the libraries, including the self-borrowing. Inventory procedures and the group protection, as well as relying on the statistics, the reports and the statistics of the daily rates of the newspapers. It also dealt with the radio frequency identification technology in the Egyptian libraries, and the libraries that rely on RFID / RF technology in Egypt, and the stages of application of the radio frequency identification technology at the Greater Cairo Library. In addition to the radio frequency identification technology in the libraries of the Arab world, and the Saudi libraries that are the most libraries that apply the introductory technology of the radio frequency at the level of the Arab world. The study concluded that RFID is the latest management and protection system for the library holdings at our present time. About 8% of the libraries are based on the RFID technology worldwide. Despite the importance of this technology in the libraries, there is a noticeable slowdown in its application in the Egyptian libraries where there are 8 only libraries in Egypt that rely on this technology. In contrast, there are about 196 libraries in the Arab world that rely on this technology, primarily the libraries in Saudi Arabia, which number 64 libraries. The high cost of applying this technology with the weakness of the library budgets is one of the most important problems that face the libraries to use this technology. However, experts expect an increase in its spread in the future in the field of libraries due to the continuous low prices, especially when considering the advantages offered by the libraries compared to the barcodes and the magnetic tapes .The Collaborative projects aimed at implementing this technology representing the most important solutions that the libraries target currently.This abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
