المستخلص: هدف البحث إلى بناء برنامج مقترح في التحديات السياسية المعاصرة التي تواجه مصر والمنطقة العربية لطلاب كليات التربية. استخدم البحث المنهجين الوصفي وشبه التجريبي. اقتصر البحث على وصف محتوى المقررات الأكاديمية والتربوية والثقافية لبرنامج إعداد معلم الجغرافيا بكلية التربية جامعة دمياط في العام الجامعي 2013/2014م وبناء البرنامج المقترح لإعداد معلم الجغرافيا بكليات التربية. تمثلت أدوات البحث في استبانة حول أهمية تضمين التحديات السياسية المعاصرة بمحتوى برامج إعداد معلمي الجغرافيا قبل الخدمة. واستبانة حول المفاهيم اللازمة لطلاب كليات التربية تخصص جغرافيا لاستيعاب التحديات السياسية المعاصرة. واستبانة حول التصور المقترح لبرنامج في التحديات السياسية المعاصرة. توصل البحث لعدة نتائج منها عدم توافر التحديات السياسية المعاصرة في محتوى برامج إعداد معلم الجغرافيا بكليات التربية. كما قدم تصور مقترح لبناء برنامج إعداد معلم الجغرافيا بكليات التربية في ضوء تلك التحديات السياسية المعاصرة. قدم البحث عدة توصيات منها عدم الاقتصار على أسلوب المحاضرة لتدريس محتوى برامج إعداد المعلم بكليات التربية واستخدام طرق واستراتيجيات تدريس متنوعة كطريقة الحوار والمناقشة والتأكيد على إستخدام مصادر تعلم متنوعة. وتحديد المصادر العلمية المناسبة لأعضاء هيئة التدريس والطلاب وتوفيرها في مكتبة الكلية والجامعة ليسهل الرجوع إليها عند دراسة التحديات السياسية المعاصرة.

The research aimed to build a proposed program in the contemporary political challenges that facing Egypt and the Arab region for the students of faculties of education. The research used the descriptive and semi-experimental approaches. The research was limited to describing the content of the academic, educational and cultural courses for the Geography Teacher Preparation Program at the Faculty of Education, Damietta University in the academic year 2013-2014, and build the proposed program for preparing the geography teacher in the faculties of education. The research tools were represented in a questionnaire on the importance of including the contemporary political challenges in the content of pre-service geography teacher preparation programs. In addition, the tools were represented in a questionnaire on the concepts needed for students of the faculties of education, geography specialization, to accommodate contemporary political challenges, and a questionnaire on the proposed vision of a program in the contemporary political challenges. The research found several results, including the lack of contemporary political challenges in the content of the programs of preparing the geography teacher in the colleges of education. It also presented a proposed vision for building the program of preparing the geography teacher in the faculties of education in the light of these contemporary political challenges. The research presented several recommendations, including not only the lecture method to teach the content of the teacher preparation programs in the faculties of education, but also using the different teaching methods and strategies such as dialogue, discussion, and emphasis on the use of diverse sources of learning. Moreover, it stressed the identification of the appropriate scientific sources for the faculty members and students, and provide them in the library of the college and the university for ease of reference when studying the contemporary political challenges.
