التصميم الجيد أساس لكل عمل فني، وعملية التصميم المعماري والداخلي الناجحة للمباني الجامعية هي العملية التي تفي بتحقيق جميع المتطلبات الوظيفية والتربوية، ويكون ذلك من خلال الأخذ بعين الاعتبار جميع المعايير والمعدلات التصميمية لكل عنصر من عناصر فراغات المبنى الجامعي. ويهدف البحث إلي: 1- التعرف على تجهيزات المعامل الحالية في قسم السكن وإدارة المنزل ومدي توافقها مع متطلبات المواد التي تدرس فيها. 2- تحديد المتطلبات الأساسية الواجب توفرها في معمل قسم السكن وإدارة المنزل. 3- التعرف على التصميم للمعامل الدراسية لمدي ملاءمتها مع تطور العملية التعليمية. 4- تقديم تصور مقترح لتفعيل دور المعامل الدراسية بالمباني التعليمية لتحسين البيئة وفق متطلبات العملية التعليمية الحديثة لرفع التحصيل العلمي للطالبات. عينة البحث: تكونت عينة الدراسة من 104 طالبة بقسم السكن وإدارة المنزل وتوصل البحث إلي: 1- وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسط درجات أفراد العينة في أبعاد تقييم المعامل الدراسية لقسم السكن وإدارة المنزل تبعا لمتغير السنة الدراسية. 2- اختلاف الأوزان النسبية لأولوية أبعاد تقييم المعامل الدراسية لقسم السكن وإدارة المنزل لأفراد عينة البحث. وأوصي البحث بــــ: 1- إعادة تصميم المعامل الدراسية في قسم السكن وإدارة المنزل بما يتناسب مع احتياجات الطالبات وأيضا مع ما يناسب معايير الجودة والأمن والسلامة. 2- تخصيص كل معمل دراسي لمادة محددة وذلك حتى يستوفي المعمل جميع المتطلبات الأساسية لكل مادة. 3- تعميم المواصفات الخاصة بالمعامل الدراسية للجامعات للاستفادة منها في مقرراتهم وتطويرها في المستقبل.
