لا شك في أن النقابات والجمعيات والمنظمات الشعبية تحتل أهمية كبيرة في منظومة المجتمع المدني لأنها تسد فراغا مهما في العملية السياسية من خلال تسليط الضوء على مشكلات خاصة أو المطالبة أو الدفاع عن حقوق بعض الفئات، وتمثل ما اصطلح على تسميته بالقوى الضاغطة التي تضغط باتجاه تحقيق مطالب معينة يتم إهمالها من السياسيين أو المجتمع بشكل عام. إن أهمية النقابات والمنظمات الشعبية غير الحكومية لا تتعلق -فقط – بتعزيز الدور الشعبي والديمقراطية والعمل النقابي، بل هي وسيلة حضارية من وسائل المجتمع المدني للمطالبة بالحقوق والدفاع عن المكتسبات. فأهمية هذه الجمعيات والهيات تأتى من كونها الوسيلة التي يقوم من خلالها أصحاب القضايا أو المطالبات بتنظيم أنفسهم في عمل علني لتحقيق مطالبهم بطريقة سليمة في السعي لتحقيق المطالب أو الحقوق المشروعة أو الدفاع عنها ضمن إطار القانون واعراف المجتمع المدني. وخلاصة القول، إن العمل السياسي تشوبه ممارسات قد تعرض حقوق فئات مختلفة من المجتمع إما للضياع أو التجاهل أو الغبن. كما لا يخفى على أحد المساومات وتقديم المصالح والتكتيكات، والشد والجذب، وتبادل المواقع وغيرها من ممارسات تشوب العمل السياسي، ومن هنا تأتي أهمية هذه النقابات والجمعيات والمنظمات غير الحكومية في سد فراغ مهم في العملية السياسية. \
There is no doubt that trade unions, associations and grassroots organizations occupies great importance in the system of civil society because they fill a void an important role in the political process by highlighting special problems or the claim or defense of the rights of ,certain groups, and represent what has been termed the forces pressing which is pressing towards the demands of certain neglected politicians ,or society in general The importance of trade unions and non- governmental grassroots organizations are not related - just - strengthening the popular role, democracy and trade union action, but rather a means of civilized means of civil society to demand rights and defend the gains The importance of these associations and bodies comes from being the means by which the issues or claims owners to organize themselves in a public action to achieve their demands in a proper manner in the pursuit of demands or the legitimate rights or defend within the framework of the law and the norms of civil society The bottom line is, if tainted by political action practices has been the rights of different classes of the society either lost or ignored or injustice.
