كثيراً ما نجد شعراء يقرضون الشعر وينظمونه، ويخلقون عالمهم الخاص من الصور والأخيلة، ويظلون مستغرقين داخل إطار الأشياء التي يتخيلونها. ولكننا من النادر أن نجد واحداً بين هؤلاء قد تحول من مجرد كاتب للشعر إلى شاعر مفكر. ولاشك أن بيرس بيش شيلي (1192-1822) P.B. Shelley هو أحد نماذج الشعراء الذين يمكننا وصفهم بأنهم شعراء مفكرون لم يقرضوا الشعر أو ينظمونه فحسب؛ وإنما تأملوا في ماهية الشعر. فالشعر وحده يستطع أن يظهر ويضئ القوى الخفية لحياتنا الروسية والعقلية. فمع الشعر، يعمل الخيال على إبداع عالمنا. وبناء على ذلك، فإن الشعر عنده ليس مجرد محاكاة للواقع، أو صورة باهتة من الموضوع الطبيعي، وإنما بالأحرى هو تجديد وإبداع الموضوعات الطبيعية، ويكشف الروح الباطنية الكامنة بداخل تلك الموضوعات. فالشعر يسود عالماً، أو بالأحرى هو عالم جديد تدعونا فيه الصورة الشعرية بأن نحيا على نحو ننفتح فيه على عالمنا الإنساني الحقيقي والموضوعات الطبيعية، التي تكون حاضرة فيها كوجود جديد مبدع كما لو كنا لم نرها من قبل. وسوف تعتمد الباحثة في هذه الدراسة على المنهج التحليلي النقدي بهدف تحليل المفاهيم والمشكلات المتضمنة في قضية البحث لدى شيلي، وعلى تحليل نصوصه نفسها محاولة قراءتها قراءة نقدية لا تكتفي بعرض الأفكار؛ وإنما تحاول فهمها وتحليلها.
It is frequently found that many poets poetize and versify poetry. They almost create their own world of images and fantasies. They often remain absorbed inside the things they imagine. But it is rare to find any of them has been converted from a mere poet to an intellectual poet. P.B. Shelley (1792 - 1822) is no doubt one of those examples of poets that can be described as intellectual poets. Not only had those poets poetized or versified poetry, but they also contemplated the essence of poetry. Poetry alone can reveal and illuminate the hidden powers in our spiritual and mental lives. Together with poetry, imagination can create our world. Consequently, poetry for Shelly is not a mere imitation of reality or a faint image of the natural motif, but it is rather an innovation and invention of the natural motifs. It also reveals the inner spirit hidden inside these motifs. Poetry dominates a world, or it is rather a new world, in which the poetic image invites us to live in a way of openness to our real human world and to the natural motifs, that are presented as innovative new creations, as if they have not been seen before. In this study, the researcher will depend on the analytical-critical method in order to analyze the concepts and problems included in the research issue for Shelley. She also will depend on analyzing his texts trying to make a critical reading of them and not merely exposing the ideas.
