المستخلص: يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة الخصائص الديموغرافية والجغرافية لسكان العزيات وذلك في مجال تغير حجمهم واتجاهات نموهم، وكذلك في تطور واختلاف نسب فئاتهم العمرية، والعوامل المؤثرة في هذه المظاهر الديمغرافية المختلفة، وذلك وفقًا للبيانات المتاحة. ومن أبرز نتائج الدراسة تباين معدل نمو حجم السكان خلال الفترة 1973- 2006 في العزيات، حيث يرتفع إلى 7.1% خلال الفترة 1973 - 1984، فيما انخفض المعدلالي 4.3% للفترة 1984-1995، وكذلك هبط المعدل بحدة إلى 2.2% في الفترة 1995 - 2006. ونتيجة ذلك تباينت نسب الفئات العمرية والنوعية نحو تزايد نسب الفئة الوسطى وكبار السن، وتدني نسب فئة صغار السن بشكل واضح نتيجة تحسن مستويات الحياة والرعاية الصحية وقلة الوفيات. ويعود التباين في معدلات نمو سكان العزيات واختلاف خصائصهما الديموغرافية إلى تأثير مشاريع التنمية الزراعية والإسكانية التي أدت التوطين واستقرار السكان البدو الرحل. كما وساهمت القروض الإسكانية وتزايد فرص التوظيف وتوفير الخدمات في الآونة الأخيرة إلى تضاعف حجم السكان ثمانية مرات فيما أخذ معدل نمو السكان يتجه للهب وطحاليا نتيجة اعتماد النمو السكاني على الزيادة الطبيعية فقط وضعف حركات السكان المكانية في عموم المنطقة.

This research aims to study the demographic and geographical characteristics of the population of El Ezzeiatin the field of change in size and growth trends, as well as in the evolution and variation of the proportions of their age groups, and the factors affecting these different demographic manifestations, according to available data. One of the main findings of the study was the variation in the growth rate of population size during the period 1973-2006 in El Ezzeiat, rising to 7.1% in the period 1973-1984, while the rate fell to 4.3% in the period 1984-1995. The rate also fell sharply to 2.2% in the period 1995-2006. As a result, the proportions of age and quality groups varied towards an increase in the proportions of the middle group and older persons, and the proportions of the younger population are markedly lower as a result of improved standards of life and health care and reduced mortality. The disparity in the growth rates and demographic characteristics of the El Ezzeiat population is due to the impact of agricultural and housing development projects that have led to the settlement and stability of the nomadic population. Housing loans, the recent increase in employment opportunities and the provision of services have contributed to an eight-fold increase in the size of the population, while the rate of population growth is currently declining as a result of the fact that population growth is dependent on natural growth only and the weakening of spatial movements of the population throughout the region.
